twenty one and twenty two months

This is going to be a long one because we are making up for two months, so feel free to skip ahead to the good stuff, the pictures!

Here is a rundown of what C has been up to:

Chloe had a rough patch of sleeping the past 6 weeks, with four huge molars coming at the same time, growing out of two naps and transitioning to one, the time change, a cough, and my spring break threw her all out of whack but she finally seems to be back to normal.  Thank heavens.  She is heading to bed between 7:30-8:00 and sleeps until 6:15-7:00.  But we still always know when C is sleepy.  She will put her right hand pointer finger in her mouth and will cover her eyes with her left hand.  She also has the cutest sleepy face.  She will hang her upper lip over her lower lip and just stare with her eyes wide open.  We’re hoping she sleeps in longer when summer comes…wishful thinking I’m sure.

Chloe loves to be involved in anything we are doing and you can tell she understands just about anything.  She also loves to show us her tricks.  She will randomly come up to us and say, “Watch this!”-with the cutest lisp, and then jumps a half inch off the ground.  She seems so proud and we make sure to make a huge deal of her superb jumping skills.  She loves to sing, hum, and dance.  We will catch her singing in the back seat and breaking down for a dance session anytime she likes and will constantly say,  “dance!”.  She still loves to march, march, march at random times, watch “the baby” (herself) on our phones, and loves to feed her baby dolls their bottles.

She is eating just about everything and will sometimes eat more than us at dinner but when she is done she is done.  She will take her bib off and try and get out of her chair saying, “all done!” She is also very messy when she eats and manages to get food everywhere.

She loves boys and especially her Uncle Tobin, who she affectionately calls, Toe.  She will run up to him and say hi and give him a big kiss whenever she sees him.
She still loves baths, and would fill up her buckets with “bubbles” for hours if we let her.  She continues to love to color and will get the crayons and coloring book out on her own and will put it away when she is finished.  She loves to color on her belly lying on the floor and will constantly take the crayon you have and quickly replace it with another.  She loves puzzles, hide and seek-mostly just the seeking part, and books.  Her favorite books are, No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, Hand, Hand, Finger, Thumb, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, and Goodnight Moon.  We read her Goodnight Moon each night before bed while we brush her teeth.  Her favorite part is when the quiet old lady whispers hush. Her favorite activity is taking things from one container and placing it in the other or putting on and taking off caps on pens.  She loves to carry around my mascara bottle too.  She is definitely stubborn and loves the word no.  She has really started testing her limits and we can tell the “twos” are a coming!  But it is still so stinking cute when she tries to act like a little adult.

She loves to “help” with jobs around the house.  Laundry being her favorite.  She will transfer all the clothes from one basket to the other.  She works so hard and really thinks she is helping although it just makes double the work.  She loves to carry her own lunch bag in the mornings and throw stuff in the garbage.

Chloe is chattering away and her all-time favorite thing to say is that people are “at work” when they are not around.  Bapa and Daddy are clearly working a lot of over time with the amount of time they are at work according to C.  Even if Paul goes upstairs for a minute, she will look at me and say, “ Daddy’s at work.”  As if she is informing me something I was not aware off.  C is constantly saying “Hi, Momma!”, “yep”, “why?” for what, and “up-y” when she wants us to hold her.  She loves to fake sneeze real dramatically and say “bess you”.

Chloe knows many body parts. (head, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, tongue, hands, arms, feet, legs, and belly.  Every letter is a “C”.  Every shape is still a circle and she loves to count, “1,2,1,2,1,2”.  She can sing the alphabet, A-G.  She also loves to take her own pants off when it is time to take a bath.

Yep, she is growing up fast!  We love how funny her little personality is coming out each day-she is definitely “a hoot” and keeps us on our toes!
